The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially opened the application process for the recruitment of 32,438 Level 1 positions in the 7th CPC pay matrix. Aspiring candidates are invited to apply for these positions on the official website, rrbapply.gov.in.

- Application Fee Payment Window: February 23-24, 2025
- Correction Window: February 25-26, 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: 18 to 36 years as of January 1, 2025 (with a 3-year relaxation for candidates impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic)
- Pay Scale: Rs 18,000 (initial pay as per 7th CPC)
- Educational Requirements: Refer to the official notification for educational qualifications based on the post you are applying for.
Application Fees:
- General/Unreserved Candidates: Rs 500 (Refunded after CBT appearance)
- Reserved Categories (SC, ST, Female, PWBD, Ex-Servicemen, etc.): Rs 250 (Refunded after CBT appearance)
How to Apply:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to rrbapply.gov.in.
- Create an Account: Fill in your details to create an account for Indian Railways CEN 2024.
- Complete the Application Form: Enter the required information, including your SSLC/Matriculation details.
- Pay the Application Fee: Choose the appropriate fee based on your category.
- Submit Your Application.
Ensure all information is accurate, as details entered during registration (including mobile number and email) cannot be changed.
Selection Process:
The selection process will involve:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Please note that there will be negative marking for incorrect answers in the CBT.
Additional Benefits for SC/ST Candidates:
- Free Sleeper Class Railway Pass: Eligible SC/ST candidates can opt for a free sleeper class railway pass by submitting a valid caste certificate during application.

- Candidates must ensure they meet the prescribed medical standards for the posts they apply for.
- Railway employees, including those undergoing probation or induction training, must inform their employer and provide a ‘No Objection Certificate’ during document verification.
